Wonderful news announced by State Member Mary Anne Thomas on behalf of Regional Development Victoria for the Woodend Community & Cultural Centre today.
$260k has been allocated via their Infrastructure Fast Track Funding Scheme for the next phase of design for this project. This vital funding allows the project to rapidly move forward and become shovel ready for any future funding. Special acknowledgement goes to our community advisory team both past and present to enable us to be at this stage today.
This project has the potential to harness vital tourism dollars for our Shire while at the same time servicing the civic needs of the local community. It is a centre with a long and interesting history, and one that has the capability of drawing new events, activities, investment and interest to our region.
