The Macedon Ranges Community & Cultural Centre – Funding Grants to Date

On 7 February 2022  The Hon. Mary-Anne Thomas MP then Minister for Regional Development approved a grant of up to $260,000 exclusive of GST to Macedon Ranges Shire Council from the Investment Fast-Track Fund (IFF), for the $325,000 Woodend Community Centre Redevelopment – Concept, Schematic & Detailed Design project.

A Grant Agreement for the project was executed on 27 April 2022.

The Project was to deliver Concept, Schematic and Detailed Designs and cost plans in preparation for construction. The Project will also deliver, or have substantially progressed, completion of all planning, environment, regulatory and other approvals and permits necessary to go to tender for construction.

Project work has been completed and grant is pending acquittal subject to approval of documentation by Regional Development Victoria.

Previously Macedon Ranges Shire Council had received a grant of up to $50,000 exclusive of GST from Stronger Regional Communities Plan – Community Capacity Building to complete the $100,000 Redevelopment of the Woodend Community Centre – Business Case and Master Plan. This project was completed in April 2021.

Macedon Ranges Council staff have indicated Council will now prioritise sourcing funding for Stage 2 schematic designs, prior to seeking funding for the completion of Stage 1 and 2 construction works.
